Allegorie op de Milddadigheid. De vrouwelijke personificatie deelt geld uit aan behoeftigen, rechts een bedelaar. Op de achtergrond een olifant en een adelaar. Uit een reeks van vijf allegorieën (SK-A-4174/4178), geschilderd in grisaille tussen 1675 en 1683 voor het huis 'Messina' van Philips de Flines aan de Herengracht.
