Een man, waarschijnlijk de militaire gouverneur van Leiden Dirk van Bronkhorst, ten halven lijve, liggend op een bed met een lauwerkrans op het hoofd en met de rechterhand het wapen van de stad Leiden op de borst geklemd. Uit de mond komt de spreuk 'Houd Het Myn Leiden'. Voorheen is de geportretteerde geïdentificeerd geweest als prins Willem van Oranje.
