De slag bij Bautersem, 12 augustus 1831, gedurende de Tiendaagse Veldtocht. De staf van de prins van Oranje bestaande uit bereden officieren verzameld voor een boerenhuis. In het midden staat de prins naast zijn paard dat gewond is geraakt, naast de prins majoor Hoyel. Rechts soldaten van de infanterie en een gewonde officier. In het verschiet het slagveld.
