Het lichaam van Christus wordt door Jozef van Arimatea en Nikodemus van het kruis afgehaald. Johannes neemt het lijk aan, geholpen door de drie Maria's. Twee andere mannen helpen ook. Op de voorgrond de doornenkroon en spijkers.
