Only upright moral conduct and prudence can protect a man from the vagaries of Fortune. The final sheet of the series shows the personification of Fortune lying exhausted on the ground, having been defeated by Patience.

    Vrouwe Fortuna ligt verslagen op de grond. Lijdzaamheid, in de gedaante van een rijzige dame in lang gewaad, leunt tegen een sokkel. Rechtsachter een stad met obelisk. De prent heeft een Nederlands onderschrift en is deel van een zesdelige serie van spreekwoorden over Fortuna.
