Child’s cot

The structure of this child’s cot is clear. The ebony marquetry emphasizes the horizontal division of the panels and the openwork ornamentation accentuates the bedhead. This cot cannot be rocked as it rests firmly on four spindle legs.

    Kinderledikant van eikenhout, versierd met ebben. Het meubel rust op vaaspoten. De zijschotten hebben vier, de eindschotten tweepanelen binnen profiellijsten en met ebben spiegels in het middenveld. De stijlen zijn doorgetrokken en worden bekroond door ebben ballen; die aan het hoofdeind gaan hoger door. Tussen deze beide stijlen is een regel gevoegd met een bekroning van opengewerkt rolwerk, bezet met ebben dopjes. De regel wordt gedragen door ebben balustertjes.
