Voorplat van een evangelieboek van verguld koper en email champlevé. In het middenveld, tegen een blauwe grond, de gekruisigde Christus in reliëf tussen Maria en Johannes met uitsluitend de koppen in reliëf. Boven, ter weerszijden van het kruis, de halve figuren van Michaël en Gabriël. In de rand ranken, afgewisseld met de halve figuren van engelen.
