Box containing eleven samples of iron cables for shrouds, all are shroud-laid with six cable-laid strands around a seventh, each strand and the heart consisting of seven wires. Each is tied together with rope and yellow paper at the ends and carries a parchment label with an inscription and a piece of the wire they are made of. The inscription on the smallest sample also carries the instruction to have it suspended. The inventory mentions four more samples of lashings and wire;1 these were not found.
