Curator Josephina de Fouw talks about paintings with which the collection of 18th century paintings has recently been enriched. For a long time, the 18th century was the forgotten century and unknown makes unloved. Fortunately, the tide seems to be turning and the 'Gallant Era' is finally emerging from the shadows of the illustrious Golden Age.
