Rembrandt’s Son Titus in a Monk’s Habit Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn (1606–1669), oil on canvas, 1660
The monk is in deep meditation. It is Titus, Rembrandt's son. He is also recognizable as a monk of the Franciscan order by his cape. They serve God by living in poverty and humility. Alone in nature.
