Multi-Level Vase

From the series In detail
Flower pyramid attributed to De Metaale Pot (Lambertus van Eenhoorn), Delft, c. 1692–1700, three segments and top made by Tichelaar, Makkum, 2004 tin-glazed earthenware (faience)

The mother of all Delft pottery was the flower pyramid. Few such vases have withstood the rigours of time: no more than 35 examples have survived, four of which are in the Rijksmuseum.
