Sara van Dijk is a junior Curator of Textiles.
Sara van Dijk has been a junior curator of textiles at the Rijksmuseum since 2015. She previously worked as a decorative arts lecturer at Leiden University where she also studied art history. She also recently obtained her PhD with the distinction cum laude for her dissertation entitled “Beauty adorns virtue”. Dress in Portraits of Women by Leonardo da Vinci. from Leiden University. Her current research area includes linen damask, European tapestries and silk fabrics. Sara also has a specific interest in the presentation of textiles in painting.
