The Rijksmuseum is accessible to visitors with limited mobility and those accompanying them. Wheelchairs and rollators are available. Please ask one of our colleagues. Mobility scooters are not permitted inside the museum. People who are unable to independently navigate through the museum may bring one companion with them for free. You can pick up an entrance ticket for a companion at cash register 1.
Library, Print Room, and reading room
The library is housed in the main Rijksmuseum building. Library daily opening hours 10:00 – 17:00, closed on Sundays and public holidays. The Rijksmuseum’s Research Library and Print Room have a shared reading room. For appointments and contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
The Rijksmuseum’s multidisciplinary education centre is housed inside the historic drawing school known as the 'Teekenschool'. Its three modern studios host a wide spectrum of activities, organized under the motto: ‘learning to look by doing’. More information
The Atelier Building is a centre of restoration and conservation, scholarly endeavour, research, and training. The Atelier Building is a setting in which the Rijksmuseum, the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands (RCE), and the University of Amsterdam (UvA) pool their expertise in the field of the restoration and conservation of art objects.
