Cemetery in Inasa, Nagasaki

Antoon Bauduin (1820-1885), albumen print, c. 1865

The Dutch were buried in a separate section of Inasa cemetery. It was surrounded by a wall, visible here. In 1918 a gate was erected, with a sign identifying it as the ‘Holland Cemetery’. The man on the right may be Antoon Bauduin.
