Model of a Made Mast

anonymous, c. 1780 - c. 1840

Ronde mast met vierkante top, hommer met oren en rijbed. De mast zelf bestaat uit vijf delen: drie zware delen zijn tegen elkaar gezet met kluften aan de binnenkant, één aan de voorkant en twee aan de achterkant; twee dunne wangen ronden het geheel af. De delen worden door kuipbanden bijeengehouden. Het rijbed is een verdikking van het voorste deel. Dit model kan uiteengenomen worden.

Entry

Construction model of a round mast with a square head, hounds with bibbs and furring. The mast itself is made of five parts; three heavy parts form the spindle, one to the front, two at the back, joined with coak scarphs inside; two thin cheeks complete the round mast. The parts are held together with mast hoops. The furring is a thickening of the front part. The model can be taken apart.
