More details

The cut of this dark-blue herringbone woollen coat is relatively plain and reminiscent of men’s coats; this is especially evident in the shape of the collar. These calf-length tailored women’s coats were called redingotes in women’s fashion magazines until well into the 1940s, after their 18th-century predecessors.
