Corner fragment with two heads. Indonesia, Central Java, Candi Sewu. Late 8th century. Volcanic stone (andesite). This corner fragment comes from two perpendicular outer walls of a minor temple at Candi Sewu. The heads are of Buddhist deities. Originally the gods were shown from head to foot. Given by the Dutch East Indian Government.
