Getting started with the collection:
Duck-shaped Water Sprinkler
anonymous, c. 1100 - c. 1199
Green glazed ceramics, known as celadon ware in the West, were highly appreciated in East Asia. By the 12th century Korean potters were able to create unique vessels perfectly combining natural simplicity and refined elegance. For instance, despite the stylisation, the duck’s natural character has been retained in this sprinkler.
