Rijksmuseum Amsterdam Schiphol is a joint and unique initiative between Rijksmuseum Amsterdam and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The Rijksmuseum is the first museum in the world to have an annexe in an airport and Schiphol is the first airport to have a museum in its terminal. The museum was officially opened on 9 December 2002 by His Royal Highness the Prince of Orange.
In the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam Schiphol you can peacefully enjoy authentic masterpieces from the world famous collection of the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. The museum at Schiphol will house an exhibition of ten works by famous masters from the Dutch Golden Age by, amongst others, Jan Steen, Jacob van Ruisdael and Rembrandt. In addition, frequently changing impressive exhibitions are on show.
In the exclusive museumshop you will find high-quality reproducations of paintings of Vermeer and Rembrandt, Delft Blue vases, jewellery, posters, postcards and more beautiful souvenirs.
The Rijksmuseum Amsterdam Schiphol is located on Holland Boulevard, in the area behind the passport control between the E and F Pier. The museum is open every day from 7:00 until 20:00 and admission is free.
