Piet Heyn

Piet Heyn (1577-1629), with De Ruyter and Tromp, is one of the principal seventeenth-century Dutch maritime heroes who established the supremacy of the Dutch Republic at sea. The capture of the Spanish treasure fleet gave his name a legendary ring.
