Pieter de Ring (1615-1660)Ypres in Flanders was the birthplace of Pieter de Ring. From there he moved with his family to Leiden, where his name is recorded as a member of the St Luke's Guild. Pieter de Ring painted opulent still lifes of fruit, dishes, goblets and Chinese porcelain. His signature is often in the form of a painted ring.
